About Me

Barry’s interest in woodcraft began as a young boy when he played in deep forest near his family home in Waterford. From this early age he loved to build and make things, particularly from wood. This interest sparked a passion, taking him on an educational journey exploring art, woodwork, furniture making, interior design and taking in a carpentry and joinery qualification along the way. Barry has built on his formal training with many years of experience delivering unique projects where attention to detail was the highest priority.

Following his passion for working with wood, Barry operates a furniture making workshop in Moycullen, County Galway, where he designs and makes unique pieces of contemporary furniture. For Barry, the design process is a collaborative one, with the client’s brief and requirements forming the basis of the design. He then adds creativity and 20 years of experience to create a finished product that is the ideal blend of functionality and art, and something to be enjoyed for a lifetime.
